CANDY K. CHAN, MD, PhD

Board Certified Ophthalmologist,

Retina and Vitreous Specialist

After years of hard work and strenuous studying, I began practicing as a professional Physician in 2000. My extensive medical knowledge combined with an ongoing curiosity to learn about the latest trends define my success in the medical field. I strive to use my expertise to help patients receive the most appropriate treatment in their individual circumstances.

My education began with an undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Johns Hopkins University. After that, I stayed at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health to complete my Masters in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology. I then went to Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California to obtain my medical and post doctorate degree.

In my educational experience, I have completed an internship of general surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, my residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Rochester, and a Vitreoretinal Surgery and Uveitis fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, skiing, cooking, and spending time with my family.
